Kelsey Kinsella to Bring WHEN THOUGHTS ATTACK to CoHo Summerfest 2016

Kelly Kinsella, hailed by Manhattan With A Twist as "Shamelessly brilliant," brings her hilarious one-woman play WHEN THOUGHTS ATTACK to CoHo Productions for a limited 4 SHOW ONLY appearance. In this honest and funny show about anxiety, Kinsella ("she's like us, just funnier" - nytheatre.com) begs to answer the question, "Is everyone crazy or is it just me?"

In WHEN THOUGHTS ATTACK, a woman walks into a restaurant to order lunch and is sucked into a whirlpool of anxiety. Clinging to her sense of humor and an emergency Xanax, she teeters between the salmon or a complete nervous breakdown. The act of ordering lunch has never been so entertaining!

Kinsella's style is raw, unique, personal yet universal, in the vein of storytellers Amy and David Seders, Louie CK and Lily Tomlin. WHEN THOUGHTS ATTACK was an official selection in NYC's ninth annual soloNOVA Festival and features direction from Padraic Lillis (Best Director - FringeNYC 2013; Best Director - NYIT Awards, 2013). Kelly was also a recent international media sensation dressed in an original vagina costume designed by Conceived In Brooklyn and photographed by renowned fashion photographer Shane LaVancher in DUMBO to raise awareness-and some eyebrows- in support of the charity 50 Cents. Period. The campaign went... viral.

WHEN THOUGHTS ATTACK originally received a staged reading hosted by the Actor's Fund of New York and was workshopped at Ars Nova in NYC. The show went on to have its world premiere at the prestigious soloNOVA Festival in downtown NYC. It was eventually produced Off- Broadway at the Duke on 42 St., and appeared regionally in the greater New York State area. The show was presented at colleges and universities on the SUNY circuit as well as Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
