EQUUS

By Peter Shaffer. Directed by Ted Pappas.

One of the most sensational plays in Broadway history, Equus is now a modern classic. It tells the story of Alan Strang, a teenage stable hand who commits a horrific crime, and Martin Dysart, the psychiatrist who struggles to exorcise the boy's demons. Featuring a cast of 14, Equus is a stunning tour-de-force in which humans double as horses. Winner of the 1975 Tony Award for Best Play. From Peter Shaffer, the author of Amadeus.

Winner of the 2016 Tony Award for Best Play

THE HUMANS

By Stephen Karam. Directed by Pamela Berlin.

Brigid and Richard have moved into a shabby two-floor apartment in New York's Chinatown just in time for Thanksgiving, and her family - mom, dad, sister and grandma - arrives from Scranton, PA to laugh, argue, and eat around the table. But also dished up are fears, real and imagined, experienced by many Americans dealing with life today. Winner of the 2016 Tony Award for Best Play, this uproarious comedy/serious drama is directed by Pamela Berlin (Clybourne Park, The Diary of Anne Frank, Between Riverside and Crazy).

Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

Book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart

There will be "Comedy Tonight" and every night during Ted Pappas' hilarious revival of this laugh-filled juggernaut. Set in ancient Rome and overflowing with delicious songs and gorgeous dancing girls, Forum is considered by many to be the funniest musical ever created. Winner of the 1962 Tony Award for Best Musical, this sly mix of Broadway and Burlesque is guaranteed to bring down the house. Fasten your togas!

March 8 - April 8, 2018

HEISENBERG

By Simon Stephens

The boy-meets-girl story gets a facelift when a 40-something free-spirited American woman falls for an inhibited retirement-age Irishman. The play begins when Georgie randomly kisses Alex as he sits alone in a London train station. As her constant energy collides with his stillness, surprising transformations occur in this new play by Simon Stephens, who won the Tony Award for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

April 19 - May 20, 2018

HAMLET

By William Shakespeare. Directed by Ted Pappas

A young man encounters the ghost of his slain father in this epic drama. Prince Hamlet feels his life spiraling out of control. His uncle, Claudius, has murdered the king, usurped the crown, and married Gertrude, Hamlet's mother. Revenge has been ordered by the spirit of the dead monarch, but Hamlet is in turmoil. Fiercely intelligent and wildly passionate, this exploration of love, lust, and grief has enthralled theatergoers for centuries. The greatest play in the English language lives again in a new production on The Public's stage.
