Our Lady of 121st Street, by Steven Adly Guirgis, opens on Second Stage at The Players Club of Swarthmore on Friday, January 24th, directed by Bridget Dougherty.

Like Guirgis's The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (performed at PCS last season), the play is a wild romp propelled by irreverence, laced with street talk and underlain with a hard-won spirituality. An unlikely crew of dysfunctional souls gathers to pay their respects to beloved Sister Rose...but the body, to start with, is missing.

Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 for three weeks beginning January 24th; there is a Sunday matinee at 2:00 on February 2nd. Tickets are $10 at the door. Second Stage is not handicapped-accessible.

There will be an opening night reception at 7:30 p.m. on Friday January 24th. Friday, January 31st is dessert night; desserts will be served at 7:30. Friday, February 7th is Meet the Artists night; the actors and staff will share their thoughts about the play and answer questions after the performance.
