Act II Playhouse to Present THE ACT II PRICE IS RIGHT on 3/29

Act II Playhouse in Ambler is once again putting a new "spin" on its annual fundraiser by presenting The Act II Price is Right, an original live game show, on Saturday, March 29, 2014.

Act II Artistic Director and local "comedy superstar" Tony Braithwaite will serve as host.

"We're so psyched to bring back this super hit from last year. The show features audience participation, actual games of chance, and lots of fun improvisation," Braithwaite said. "Come on down to Act II for a great night."

There are two performances, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., with lite fare an hour before each show. The event also serves as a celebration of Act II's 15th anniversary.

This is the second year the theater has produced The Act II Price is Right. At last year's sold out show, some patrons came dressed in costume, including women who wore custom t-shirts with the words, "Tony We're Ready to Come on Down."

This year's event will feature games inspired by a variety of classic television game shows, as well as original games created for the event. Contestants will be drawn from the audience, and will be battle it out for special prizes.

Tickets for The Act II Price is Right are $40. All proceeds benefit Act II's artistic and educational programming.
