1812 Productions has announced its 2013-2014 theatre season. The 2013-2014 season will pair three mainstage comedy productions with three limited engagement events, including classic material and several 1812 originals.

The season begins with Bunny Bunny: Gilda Radner-A Sort of Love Story written by former Saturday Night Live writer, Alan Zweibel. A beautiful and witty start to our season, in Bunny Bunny Mr. Zweibel remembers his buddy-and-almost-lover friendship with Saturday Night Live actress Gilda Radner. At turns sarcastic, charming, confrontational, and always funny-this imaginary biography of one of television's funniest ladies describes the relationship that could have been, and the good times that always will be. Bunny Bunny: Gilda Radner-A Sort of Love Story will be directed by Noah Herman and will star Leah Walton as Gilda Radner. Bunny Bunny: Gilda Radner-A Sort of Love Story will play from September 19th thru October 27th, 2013 at The Independence Studio on 3 at The Walnut Street Theatre, located at 9th and Walnut Streets in Center City. Opening Night will be Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 at 7pm.

Next up, 1812 Productions will return to its vaudeville roots and celebrate the holidays with its newest original production, The Big Time: Vaudeville for the Holidays. Featuring Jennifer Childs, Dave Jadico, Scott Greer, and a revolving line-up of vaudeville headliners (including 1812 favorite Tony Braithwaite*), The Big Time reunites the creators of 1812's first-ever holiday show (The Big Time, 2000) and brings the steamer trunk circuit into the 21st century, with original material and classic comedy styles. The Big Time: Vaudeville for the Holidays will play from November 29th thru December 31st at Plays & Players Theatre, 1714 Delancey Street, in Center City. The Big Time is part of the Phoebe and Otto Premiere Series and welcomes Honorary Producers Sharon and Jeff Weiss. (*Tony Braithwaite and other Big Time headliners will appear at select performances of The Big Time.) Opening Night will be Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at 7pm.

1812 Productions will close its season with the comedy sensation (and audience favorite) This Is The Week That Is, written (and rewritten nightly) by the This Is The Week That Is ensemble and directed by Jennifer Childs. Now in its eighth year, This Is The Week That Is takes on local and national politics with satirical wit, a song or two, and an ever-changing script to bring the American people the truth behind the headlines. This Is The Week That Is will play from April 24th thru June 1st, 2014 at Plays & Players Theatre, 1714 Delancey Street, in Center City. This Is The Week That Is is part of The June & Steve Wolfson Family Foundation Series and welcomes its Production Sponsor Graboyes Commercial Window Company. Opening Night will be Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 at 7pm.
