Chasing Asylum is back by popular demand.

Highlighting the truth about offshore detention centres, the Amnesty International Fremantle Group is holding a screening on July 5 at Replants Fremantle.

The documentary, by Academy Award-winning documentary director Eva Orner, tells the story of Australia's treatment of asylum seekers and refugees, examining the human, political, financial and moral impact of current and previous policies.

It's a chance to learn more about the dangerous journeys those seeking asylum must endure and an opportunity to put yourself in their shoes.

The evening also features guest speaker Caroline Fleay, a lecturer at the Centre for Human Rights Education at Curtin University. She conducts research into Australian policy and human rights, transnational activism and human rights, and the rights of people seeking asylum.

Chasing Asylum screens at 7pm, July 5, at Replants, 96 Wray Avenue, Fremantle. Tea and coffee provided. Tickets are $10 - book at eventbrite.com.au.
