Yael Silver, Robin Carus and Van Dean today released “We Are The World,” a music video featuring an all-star roster of theater artists and calling for healing and unity in the world today. The pre-Broadway engagement of ROMAN HOLIDAY - The Cole Porter Musical, is premiering as part of SHN's 2017 Season this summer. Newcomer Stephanie Styles and Broadway favorite Drew Gehling (Waitress) take on the iconic roles portrayed by Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in the classic film, and Tony Award nominee Jarrod Spector (Beautiful) and TV and stage star Sara Chase ('Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt') round out the principal cast.

Earlier this month, Broadway united for INSPIRATIONAL BROADWAY, a dynamic and soulful evening of music at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. The one-night-only concert featured theater's biggest names singing Broadway, Gospel, Pop, and Rock classics with a stirring and spiritual twist, including musical arrangements by BIV founder and Tony Award-nominee Michael McElroy.

Michael Arden, Kelli Barrett, Bill Berloni, Robert Fairchild, Sutton Foster, Lesli Margherita, Andrea McArdle, Orfeh,Hugh Panaro, Kate Rockwell, Jarrod Spector and Alysha Umphress all took part in Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening to benefit the Humane Society of New York, at Feinstein's/ 54 Below. Oscar and Tony Award-winnerJoel Grey was awarded the first annual Humane Society of New York's Sandy Award, presented to an artist who has shown a fierce commitment, through action and advocacy, to the cause of animal rights.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held earlier today, May 27th in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. Based on Boris Pasternak's Nobel Prize-winning 20th-century epic Russian masterpiece, Doctor Zhivago is directed by Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys), with a book by Michael Weller (Ragtime), music byLucy Simon (The Secret Garden), lyrics by Michael Korie (Grey Gardens) and Amy Powers (Ella Enchanted), and choreography by Kelly Devine (Rocky). Tickets for the 2015 KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY will take place Friday, January 9th, 2015 to Thursday, January 15th, 2015, and is an annual event when kids ages 6 to 18 can see participating Broadway shows for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) featured special guest performers Andy Karl, Jarrod Spector, Lindsay Mendez and Adam Heller in the sixth annual Broadway Salutes event on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2014. Four-time Tony® Award winning playwright and actor Harvey Fierstein was the host. This public celebration honored the countless professionals who have made Broadway great. In this industry-wide celebration, theatre professionals received special recognition for having worked 25, 35, and 50+ years on Broadway. Directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carol King Musical), Broadway Salutes took place at Anita's Way, the public space next to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (West 42nd to West 43rd Streets- between Sixth Avenue and Broadway) located in the heart of the theatre district. IMAGINE: A Concert of Hope, a benefit concert to raise funds to benefit Cancer Research through the Brian Werbel Memorial Fund at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center was held earlier this week at (le) poisson rouge (158 Bleecker St.). The Shapiro Sisters' debut album LIVE OUT LOUD: LIVE AT 54 BELOW will be released on September 9th, 2014. The Shapiro Sisters, 11-year old Milly Shapiro (Matilda, Original Broadway Cast of Matilda The Musical) and older sister, 14-year-old Abigail Shapiro (Cindy Lou Who, How The Grinch Stole Christmas), recorded the album live at the famed 54 BELOW over a series of three performances this past May and June. The Shapiro Sisters will be returning to 54 BELOW this Thursday, August 28th at 7:00 PM for an encore performance to celebrate the launch of their new CD.
