Kill The Whale: A Musical Odyssey, a rock opera based loosely on Moby-Dick by 2X Jonathan Larson finalist composer Daniel H Emond, will be presented in a concert of selections from the score on Monday October 16th at 9:30 at Chelsea Table + Stage. Damon Daunno (Oklahoma!; Hadestown; The Lucky Ones), Amber Gray (Macbeth, Hadestown, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), Grace McLean (Suffs, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812; In The Green) and Margo Seibert (Octet, Rocky, In Transit) are scheduled to perform in a narrated concert of songs from Love The Struggle at Joe's Pub on tonight at 7 pm. The concert is currently sold out, but additional tickets may be released prior to the show.

Rehearsals began last week for a concert on Monday, December 5 at Joe's Pub being presented in collaboration with Maestra Music featuring song highlights from Love The Struggle, a new musical co-written by Stacy Krayand Yair Evnine about the French existential philosophers and social activists Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre.

Armed with a deep commitment to lofty ideals, the couple dives headfirst into life's grittier side, becoming entangled in seduction, betrayal and war. As they pull others into their powerful vortex, they explode the image of philosophers as solitary armchair ponderers and define a new kind of love.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - presented the cast of Broadway's hit musical Waitress - including it's new star Katharine McPhee - celebrating the music of the show's composer Sara Bareilles in a special benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Sunday last night and BroadwayWorld was there.  Check out the photos below!

Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will present the cast of Broadway's hit musical Waitress - including new star Katharine McPhee - celebrating the music of the show's composer Sara Bareilles in a special benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Sunday, May 13. A second show was recently added at 7:00 PM after the 9:30 PM performance sold out.

Celebrating its third year in NYC and its inaugural year in L.A., the two festivals will present 13 new full-length shows by women writers.
