The producers of Will Eno's new play The Realistic Joneses have announced a general rush policy. A limited number of rush tickets, which are subject to availability, can be purchased at the box office of the Lyceum Theatre when the box office opens for the day of the performance on a first-come-first-served basis. The box office of the Lyceum Theatre opens at 10am Monday through Saturday, and at noon on Sunday. Rush tickets are $35 each and limited to two (2) tickets per customer.

This just in! New York City Center's acclaimed Encores! Off-Center series, under the artistic direction of Jeanine Tesori, will return this summer for a second season of landmark Off-Broadway musicals. The season opens with Jonathan Larson's tick, tick… BOOM!, June 25 - 28, starring Lin-Manuel Miranda and Karen Olivo, directed by Oliver Butler, and continues with a one-night only performance of Randy Newman'sFaust: The Concert, with Randy Newman as the Devil, directed by Thomas Kail, on July 1. Pump Boys and Dinettes, withbook, music and lyrics by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jim Wann , directed by Lear deBessonet and choreographed by Danny Mefford, wraps up the season, running July 16 - 19. Chris Fenwick is the Encores! Off-Center music director.

Trinity Repertory Company's Education Department has announced the winners of their third annual Write Here, Write Now! Student Playwriting Competition. This year's winning plays and playwrights are: After the Horror Movie by Mimi Heath, Lincoln School in Pawtucket, Grade 11; The Basket Case by Spike Sommers, Wheeler School in Warwick, Grade 12; Welcome to Me by Kelsey Wilson, Rockville High School in Vernon, CT, Grade 12; The Sacrifice by Quinn Bornstein, St. Johnsbury Academy in Barnet, VT, Grade 12.

Director Christopher Bayes and comic actor Steven Epp - the duo behind the uproarious A Doctor in Spite of Himself - return to Berkeley Repertory Theatre with Accidental Death of an Anarchist, the explosive political farce by Nobel Prize-winning Italian playwright Dario Fo. A Berkeley Rep favorite, Epp delighted audiences in Figaro and The Miser - now the master comedian returns in a criminally funny production about corruption. Only one man can cut through massive bureaucratic duplicity and reveal what happened to the suspected anarchist who died from a fall out of a fourth-floor police station window. Did he jump? Or was he pushed? In this contemporary take on a beloved classic, Berkeley Rep hauls you down to the station for a hilarious interrogation of our culture. This madcap comedy starts previews in the Roda Theatre tonight, March 7, opens March 12, and runs through April 20.

Signature Theatre has announced a one-week extension for the world premiere of Will Eno's, new play THE OPEN HOUSE, directed by Oliver Butler. The production will now play through Sunday, March 30. The music of the late composer Dory Previn was celebrated at a gala for the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre last night. Best-known as the writer of such hit songs as 'Theme from Valley of the Dolls,' 'Mary C. Brown and the Hollywood Sign,' 'With My Daddy in the Attic,' 'You're Gonna Hear from Me,' DORY PREVIN was a legendary figure as a pop-folk singer-song-writer in the 60's-70's and 80's. The Gala performance was directed by Rachel Chavkin (NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812), with musical direction by Jon Spurney. Soho Rep. announces casting and performance dates for the world premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins's An Octoroon, directed by Soho Rep. Artistic Director Sarah Benson. The production, April 23-May 18, concludes a banner New York season for the celebrated playwright, whose Appropriate makes its New York premiere February 25-April 6 at Signature Theatre.
