Actress Marisa Tomei stopped by this morning's TODAY to chat about her new role on Broadway in THE REALISTIC JONESES and being associated with her role in 'My Cousin Vinnie' more than 20 years later.

The Realistic Joneses open last week, April 6, on Broadway at the Lycuem Theatre. This new American play by Will Eno came to Broadway after a critically-acclaimed run at the Yale Repertory Theatre in 2012. The cast includes Toni Collete, Michael C. Hall, Tracy Letts, and Marisa Tomei.

Vineyard Theatre will produce the world-premiere of the musical BROOKLYNITE directed by the Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer as well as a new play by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (APPROPRIATE) as part of the non-profit theatre company's 2014-15 season, it was confirmed this afternoon by Douglas Aibel, The Vineyard's Artistic Director, and Sarah Stern, Co-Artistic Director.

Trinity Repertory Company invites the public to remember and celebrate the life of the lateMarion Simon, former executive assistant to Trinity Rep artistic director, Adrian Hall (and later Richard Jenkins), who passed away in December at the age of 90. The memorial celebration -featuring speakers and stories about Trinity Rep's longtime friend - will take place on Friday, May 7, at 2PM in Trinity Repertory Company's Dowling Theater, 201 Washington St. in Providence. Theater Wit Artistic Director Jeremy Wechsler has confirmed Theater Wit has secured the exclusive rights to present the Midwest premiere of Anne Washburn's unforgettable new work, Mr. Burns, a post-electric play.

Trinity Rep announced today that former artistic director and Academy-award nominated film, stage and TV actor Richard Jenkins and his wife Director/Choreographer Sharon Jenkins will be honored with the 2014 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. The theater also announced that nationally known dance educator and choreographer Mary Paula Hunter will receive the 2014 Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. The 18th annual Pell Awards will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow next door at the Providence Public Library.
