Laguna Playhouse has announced that Playhouse favorites Dan Lauria and Wendie Malick will reunite in the Southern California premiere of SITTING AND TALKING. 

On Thanksgiving Day, the Nurse Heroes Live! all-star concert addressed the worldwide shortage of nurses and raised money for nursing programs and scholarships. For those who might have missed the benefit show, Nurse Heroes Live! will be available on Peacock beginning Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020 until January 2, 2021.

Perhaps it's been more years than you can count, if ever, when you last read the Constitution upon which our democracy is based and our rights as American citizens are outlined. Conceived by Tony Abatemarco, Gary Grossman, Wendy Kout, Jeff Reno and Cameron Watson, We the People will run approximately 45 minutes and feature prominent theatrical artists & community leaders gathering together to talk personally about our Constitution and what voting means to them. Followed by a Q&A where the online audience is encouraged to join in and be part of the conversation.

Laguna Playhouse announces they will live-stream a reading of the first show produced by Laguna Playhouse 100 years ago in celebration of the Playhouse’s 100th Anniversary, “Suppressed Desires,” by Susan Glaspell and George Cram Cooke. 

Berkshire Playwrights Lab has joined with four other theaters to form #Theatre5Alliance, an organization to bring the arts to people's homes and to highlight the importance of keeping local theater alive. The alliance includes Berkshire Playwrights Lab, Durango PlayFest, Laguna Playhouse, NJ Rep and Seven Angels Theatre. 

Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County, NJ's premier professional theatre, is concluding its virtual play series entitled Given Circumstance: New Plays in the Virtual World. Deadline reports that that Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner will produce a new modern-day Shakespeare drama series for NBC.

Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County, NJ's premiere professional theatre, has commissioned seven new plays written specifically for the Zoom format. The four-part series begins September 18, and runs every weekend through October 11.

Don Franken, Founder of The Method Fest Independent Film Festival, a unique event showcasing the art and craft of acting for cinema, today announced the opening night films to be showcased as Drive-In movie experiences atop the Westfield Fashion Square here this Friday, August 21. They are BEAUTIFUL DREAMER, THE JONESTOWN DEFENSE, h0us3 and OUR LADY OF THE NILE. The Method Fest runs 8/21-23 and 8/26-30.
