Due to production issues, The Studio Players has replaced their June, 2022 show All New People with CLARK GABLE SLEPT HERE by Michael McKeever.

After countless sellout performances at the Green Room 42, Grammy winning Hadestown star Reeve Carney returned for two concerts in August, performing selections from his 5-time Independent Music Award Winning album, Youth Is Wasted, as well a few surprises from the Broadway canon and the Great American Songbook.

Recorded ironically mostly in the dark loft of Smyth’s home during the boiling hot days of the summer, the trio took inspiration from the late 60s through to the late 90s, looking to bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Chemical Brothers and Death in Vegas.

As a special gift to Vermonters this holiday season, Northern Stage has partnered with Vermont Public Radio to present a free one-time-only broadcast of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play on Saturday, December 12, at 3 p.m.

The limited series will star and be executive produced by Nine Stories’ Jake Gyllenhaal. 

 CBS All Access today announced a new series order for GUILTY PARTY, a half-hour dark comedy starring Isla Fisher as Beth Baker, a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career by latching on to the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she didn't commit. In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage and her own tarnished past.

GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, today announced that it will honor award-winning screenwriter, producer, and director Ryan Murphy with the Vito Russo Award at the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards at the Hilton Midtown in New York on Thursday, March 19.

Amazon Studios today announced the first group of series regulars set to star in the new Amazon Original series based on stories from the iconic 'The Lord of the Rings' novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. Newly revealed cast members including Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, and Daniel Weyman. Portland Stage presented the world premiere of a work they brought though their prestigious Clauder New Work Competition, READ TO ME. The play, selected among 170 scripts, is written by Brendon Pelsue and directed by his brother Rory - both Yale Drama School Graduates. The result9ng work is ambitious and fully in keeping with Portland Stage a?oemagical realism a?oe them for the season. The subject of READ TRO ME is potentially well chosen a?' filled with deeply searing drama- a child dying in a children's hospital with adults trying to make sense 0f this absurdity. The subject matter is dense with possibility, which, regrettably in tis production is never fully realized.
