Theo Ubique's SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET Extends By Three Weeks

Theo Ubique's SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET, originally scheduled to close on April 29, has been extended and will now run through Sunday, May 20. The production earned rave reviews and has been playing to sold-out audiences since its opening on March 12. Philip Torre, Jacquelyne Jones and most of the original cast will remain with the production for the extension. Performance schedules remain unchanged, with the musical playing Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 7 pm.  Tickets for the additional weeks are now on sale at www.theo-u.com.

Say his name three times and he might just arrive on Broadway! Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures (Mark Kaufman) and Langley Park Productions (Kevin McCormick) announced today that the new musical comedy Beetlejuice will make its world premiere in a Pre-Broadway engagement at the National Theatre in Washington D.C. in October 2018. Directed by two- time Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Peter and the Starcatcher) and choreographed by Connor Gallagher (The Robber Bridegroom), Beetlejuice features an original score by Eddie Perfect (King Kong) and a book by Scott Brown and Emmy Award nominee Anthony King (Broad City).

Questo progetto che comprende 15 spettacoli e nato dalla collaborazione fra Anima&Musica e Dreaming Academy, Accademia di Musical e Spettacolo di Padova in particolar modo nelle figure di Mirco Fattore e Alessio Guerra (Direttori Artistici) Bruna Laura Filippini (regista e insegnante di recitazione) che ne ha curato la parte artistica e organizzativa degli spettacoli di teatro e prosa, e Riccardo Sabatiello che ne ha curato la parte della danza, allo scopo di dare una nuova vita al Teatro Polivalente e crearne un nuovo centro culturale per la citta di Abano Terme.
