After working together on the critically acclaimed run of the original play 'Keep Your Baggage With You (at all times)' at Theater for the New City in 2010 (written by Jonathan Blitstein, directed by Daniel Talbott), Daniel Abeles, Jonathan Blitstein, Nate Miller and Laura Ramadei teamed up to launch a new theater company called LESSER AMERICA. Theater For the New City has granted Lesser America a residency affording the group three full-scale productions in its inaugural year, the first residency of its kind at the theater.

It isn't just Curtis Moore's action-accenting electric guitar licks that give Richard Thomas a rock star presence in director Barry Edelstein's swift and rowdy production of Timon of Athens, a stinging morality tale attributed as a collaboration of sorts between William Shakespeare and the younger scribe, Thomas Middleton. Though scholars will call the piece incomplete and problematic, the star gives a charismatic performance that glides through the rough patches.

Lauren Ambrose, Angela Bassett, et al. Set for New Pilots

A slew of theatre veterans, including Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Aidan Quinn, and Lauren Ambrose, are set to star in new television pilots in the coming months. Basset will star in ABC's 'Identity,' which is about an FBI agent who heads a new Identity Crimes Unit. Sarah Paulson is set for a still untitled NBC comedy about a woman who helps people adjust to career changes. Quinn will star in a BBC detective series called 'Prime Suspect,' while Ambrose is set for FOX's 'Weekends at Bellevue.'
