The jazz community will gather for the Jackie Williams Jazz Memorial at Saint Peter's Church on Monday, November 13th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm EST. This event will honor the legacy of Jackie Williams, featuring live jazz performances.

Charles Dickens' 'A CHRISTMAS CAROL, The Radio Play', adapted by Anthony E. Palermo, will be presented by Avalon Productions this December.

She's also planning to release a new concept video for her take on the vintage holiday tune, which will visually portray her unique approach to music and art, thus breathing new creative expression into a nostalgic recorded work.

Dan Levinson's Midsummer Night's Jazz Party returns to the Bickford Theatre as part of Summer JazzFest for one night only on Thursday, August 2 at 7:30 pm. For his annual appearance at the popular festival, Levinson dispenses with music scores and stands for a jam session in the tradition of the legendary jazz clubs of the forties and fifties such as Eddie Condon's and Nick's. Joining the popular clarinetist will be Jon-Erik Kellso on trumpet, Harvey Tibbs on trombone, Mark Shane on piano, Rob Adkins on bass, and Paul Wells on drums. And as customary, the concert will be preceded by a food truck picnic.

WRITE ACT REP announces PREZ The Lester Young Story, a solo show written by playwright Willard Manus, continues in Los Angeles, as part of a Spring and Summer Festival Series at Write Act Rep's Brickhouse Theatre called THREE BY WILL IN REP.  The Series includes two World Premiere's along with the extension of the acclaimed  PREZ, which chronicles the unique life of jazzman Lester Young, featuring Leslie A. Jones.  The intimate drama is produced by John Lant and Tamra Pica, and will be directed by Daniel E. Keough.  The show is moving to a new night and extending, beginning April 27th 2018, through June 29, 2018.  All performances for PREZ will now be on FRIDAYS at 8PM, through as part of the three production Series, 'THREE BY WILL IN REP'.

The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts announced today that pianist George Winston will perform at the Kauffman Center on December 12 in Helzberg Hall, returning after his successful engagement in 2016. This event is part of the 2018-2019 Kauffman Center Presents series and is presented in partnership with Nitelite Promotions.

All performances for PREZ will be on Sunday at 2PM, through March 11th, 2018, as part of the three production Series, 'THREE BY WILL IN REP'.

Inspired by the seasons and topographies, George Winston's concerts feature a variety of styles including melodic folk piano, New Orleans R&B piano, and stride piano.
