Multiple Grammy winner Sharon Isbin will be inducted into the 2023 Guitar Foundation of America Hall of Fame and receive their Artistic Achievement Award this June. Isbin, the 2020 Musical America Instrumentalist of the Year, will give a solo concert Friday June 23, 8pm at the Manhattan School of Music in celebration of GFA's 50th Anniversary at their annual convention to be held for the first time in New York City.

MADam LUCY, deceased, a new musical about the life (and afterlife) of Lucy Ludwell Paradise (1752-1814), with book & lyrics by two-time Emmy Award-winning songwriter William Schermerhorn and music by composer and recording artist Elise Morris, will have its first staged workshop in Williamsburg, Virginia, in the historic Great Hall of the Sir Christopher Wren Building on the campus of William & Mary.

Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer and conductor Tan Dun returns to Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater to lead TŌN in An Afternoon at the Aviary, the Orchestra’s last performance in New York City this season, on Sunday, May 21 at 3 PM. The bird-themed program includes two of Dun’s own works: Passacaglia: Secret of Wind and Birds and Contrabass Concerto: Wolf Totem; as well as Dinicu’s The Lark and Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite.
