Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) is celebrating young writers with its seventh Young Playwrights Festival Showcase, March 19-22, 2015. The Showcase features three one-act plays from the winners of our high school playwriting competition and is directed, designed, and performed by up-and-coming local professionals.

Center Stage announces the casts and crew of the Amy Herzog Festival, the first time Herzog's 4000 Miles and After the Revolution will be produced together. The festival is March 18 to May 24, with the plays alternating every two weeks.

This Friday, March 6th, the Long Center takes a page from the Tony Awards handbook when it hosts the second annual nominations announcement for the Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards. Surrounded by hundreds of talented Austin students, local sponsors and supporters, teachers, and representatives from the University of Texas, the Long Center for the Performing Arts, and ZACH Theatre's Education Director Nat Miller; nominees for 15 categories will be announced in preparation for the awards ceremony on April 14th.

A master playwright, Athol Fugard, presents one of his mastepieces at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre's Midwest Premiere of The Train Driver. One-hundred-and-fifty-years ago, on Good Friday, April 14, 1865, President and Mrs. Lincoln attended 'Our American Cousin' at Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C. During the third act, John Wilkes Booth entered the President's box to fire the fatal shot.
