CAST announces the grand opening on August 25th of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY by Tracy Letts

Juilliard's Drama Division announces the complete schedule for its 2011-2012 season of fully-staged productions featuring students in their fourth and final year of acting training at Juilliard. This season's plays include Arthur Miller's All My Sons, directed by Harris Yulin, October 19-23; Juilliard alumnus Nathan Jackson's Broke-ology, directed by Kent Gash, November 10-14; and Noel Coward's Hay Fever, directed by Dakin Matthews, December 8-12. The Studio Theatre follows up its 2008 hit production of The History Boys with Alan Bennett's next play, The Habit of Art. Deep in the bowels of London's National Theatre, rehearsals for a new play go apace: Benjamin Britten is having trouble with his latest opera and seeks out his collaborator, poet W. H. Auden, after a twenty-five year separation. Between visits by a rent boy and a biographer-whom Auden briefly mistakes for the rent boy-these aging artists wrestle with their desires, their jealousies, the ephemeral connection between creativity and inspiration, and all the reasons their friendship fell apart.

Hot on the heels of its April/May success, this new version of Chris Wallace's show opens at The Butterfly Club in South Melbourne on Tuesday, 9th August and runs through Sunday, 14th August. TALL POPPY BLUES is wall-to-wall Chris Wallace songs. The music varies from country to gospel to jazz to ballads to show tunes to kids' songs and even has a tap number thrown in for good measure- something for everyone. The hit family comedy Our SOn'S Wedding will close August 14. The 'satisfyingly funny' play about an Italian-American plumber (played by Paul D'Amato) and his wife (played by Marina Re) who are bickering about their son's wedding (Michael Kevin Baldwin)-to another man (Gil Brady). Complications ignite in a humorous story of a family that needs to let go of the past and look toward a new beginning.

Susan Charlotte's The Shoemaker, directed by Antony Marsellis, will end performances at The Acorn Theatre (410 W 42 Street) on August 14, 2011. Each performance will be followed with a Q & A with star and Academy Award nominee Danny Aiello.

The Attic Theater Company will present the world premiere of Sam Gooley's play This One Time In Last Chance as part of the NYC International Fringe Festival in August.
