The VH Theatrical Development Foundation announces that after an acclaimed Off-Broadway engagement last fall, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! (formerly titled THE BRIGHTNESS OF HEAVEN), a new play by best-selling author Laura Pedersen FROM BUFFALO, will open the 2015-2016 Frey Electric Construction Co.  Season at the 710 Main Theatre (formerly Studio Arena Theatre) in Buffalo, New York, with a limited engagement scheduled to play Thursday, September 17 - Sunday, October 4, 2015.  Directed by Ludovica Villar-Hauser, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! is set in Buffalo, where Ms. Pedersen was born and raised. 

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents the Vancouver premiere of Blackbird, Fly, an uplifting performance interweaving movement, narrative, Haitian folklore, and hip hop, September 25 at 7:30pm in the Telus Studio Theatre. The provocative duet, featuring charismatic spoken-word poet Marc Bamuthi Joseph and cutting-edge violinist and composer Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR), unveils the artists' life-stories as they discover their mutual Haitian cultural identities, while also inviting audiences to examine themes of immigration, tolerance and inclusion.  

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o and several other celebrities joined the cast of INFORMED CONSENT to celebrate their opening night on August 18, 2015.

Geffen Playhouse just announced the cast for the West Coast premiere of GUARDS AT THE TAJ by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Steinberg Award recipient Rajiv Joseph. Raffi Barsoumian will star as Humayun, opposite Ramiz Monsef as Babur.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Carly Sakolove in 'I'M EVERY WOMAN' tonight, August 19th at 7pm. 'Diva' impersonator and actress Carly Sakolove is slated to bring her new zany one woman show to 54 Below for one night only! The show is 60 minutes of all your favorite Pop and Broadway Diva impersonations. Take the journey through the soulful stylings of Adele, the Latin beats of Shakira, dating back to the Golden Age with Liza, Judy and so many more.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents La-Ti-Do on September 1, 2015 at 9:30pm. La-Ti-Do is a cabaret where musical theatre and spoken word poetry collide. La-Ti-Do debuts at 54 Below featuring some of both Washington, DC and New York's finest musical and spoken word talent.

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, will present the sexy, millennial world premiere comedy Engagements by Lucy Teitler, from August 13-30 with a press opening Wednesday, August 19 at 7:30pm.

Primary Stages and Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Project present Informed Consent, a New York City premiere by Deborah Zoe Laufer (End Days, Leveling Up) and directed by Obie winner Liesl Tommy (Appropriate, The Good Negro). The limited engagement began performances on August 4 and continues through September 13, 2015 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a New 42nd Street project. Opening night is tonight, August 18 at 7PM.

Moonbox Productions, nominated for numerous IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards, is thrilled to announce three exciting productions for its 2015-2016 season. In October, Moonbox kicks-off its season with its second annual, one night only, company cabaret entitled Decadence, Debauchery and Divas! The season continues in November with a spectacular production of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park and wraps up in April with the sexy jazz musical, The Wild Party, by Michael John LaChiusa and George C. Wolfe.

Plan-B Theatre Company opens its 25th season with THE KREUTZER SONATA, a co-production with the Nova Chamber Music Series.

To round out its 65th season, Music Circus presents Hair, the groundbreaking musical that defined a generation and introduced rock 'n' roll to Broadway. Set against a backdrop of the Vietnam era, a group of late 1960s youth join a social revolution and 'Let the Sun Shine In.' Featuring hit songs such as 'Aquarius,' 'Let The Sun Shine In' and 'Easy To Be Hard,' Hair is an exhilarating and emotionally intense ride that Variety calls 'a rock musical that communicates viscerally with its audience. The score's vigorousness and variety are remarkable.'

In Psycho Beach Party, playwright Charles Busch tosses together a quirky melange of Gidget, Joan Crawford, beach parties, surfers, Hitchcock and slasher movies. The result is hilarious, campy and a lot of fun to watch. The show has delighted audiences since 1987. It has played off-Broadway, at international festivals and in community theaters.

It's Not Just a Movie…It's a Movie at the Warner! Tonight, August 15 at 7 pm, the Warner Theatre will show Chiller Films' THE BOY on our 50' screen. THE BOY is a chilling, intimate portrait of a 9-year-old sociopath's growing fascination with death.

Casting is set for Signature Theatre's world premiere of A.R. Gurney's new play Love & Money, directed by Mark Lamos. The production runs tonight, August 15, to September 27, 2015 with an August 24, 2015 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The show is a co-production with Westport Country Playhouse.

Pipeline Theatre Company will present the World Premiere of Andrew Farmer's haunting play The Gray Man, September 24-October 18 at Walker Space (46 Walker Street between Broadway and Church Street). Performances will be Wednesday through Sunday at 8pm with additional performances on Saturday at 5pm and Tuesday, October 13 at 8pm. Early bird tickets ($20) will go on sale August 20. Regular ticket sales ($25) will begin September 3. Tickets will be available for purchase online at www.pipelinetheatre.org. The show runs approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission. 

THE GOD GAFFE, a new play by John William Schiffbauer, will make its world premiere in the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival.
