Coyote Dancers to Pay Tribute to Dudley Williams, 10/23-25

Maher Benham and Coyote Dancers announce three evenings of works choreographed by Ms. Benham, and dedicated to her company's beloved teacher, mentor, and friend Dudley Williams (1938-2015). The evening will feature the world premiere of Ms. Benham's 'A Song for Dudley,' along with Coyote repertory works, including 'Eight for Martha,' dedicated to Martha Graham, October 23-25 at the Martha Graham Studio Theatre. The Coyote resident ensemble of 16 dancers will be joined by a distinguished roster of guests, most either past or current members of the Martha Graham Dance Company. Presented by Maher Benham and Coyote Dancers in collaboration with Deborah Zall and Classic Contemporary Dance Heritage, Ltd.

Signature Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere production of Cake Off, a new musical by Sheri Wilner (Kingdom City), Julia Jordan (Murder Ballad) and Adam Gwon (Signature's The Boy Detective Fails). Directed by Signature's Director of New Works Joe Calarco (Signature's Gypsy, Shakespeare's R&J) this hilarious new musical is a battle-of-the-sexes set at the 50th Annual Millberry Cake-Off competition. Cake Off runs September 29 - November 22 in the ARK Theatre.

Signature Theatre just announced one additional, final performance for their critically acclaimed production of JOHN, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Annie Baker (The Flick) and directed by Tony Award-winner Sam Gold (Fun Home). The production, which kicked off Signature's 25th Anniversary Season, will now play its final performance on Sunday, September 6th at 7:30pm. All other performances are sold out.

PAGE 73 presents the world premiere of JUDY, a new play by 2012 P73 Playwriting Fellow Max Posner. JUDY will feature Frenie Acoba, Luka Kain, and Marcel Spears. They join Obie Award-Winner Deirdre O'Connell, Obie Award-Winner Birgit Huppuch, and Danny Wolohan. Directed by two-time Obie Award-Winner Ken Rus Schmoll, JUDY begins previews tonight, September 1, 2015 at The New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street) with opening night set for September 10, 2015.
