54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents La-Ti-Do on September 1, 2015 at 9:30pm. La-Ti-Do is a cabaret where musical theatre and spoken word poetry collide. La-Ti-Do debuts at 54 Below featuring some of both Washington, DC and New York's finest musical and spoken word talent.

La-Ti-Do was co-founded by Don Michael Mendoza and Regie Cabico made its debut to a full house in Washington, DC on January 23, 2012 at The Black Fox Lounge in Dupont Circle and since then, it has become Washington, DC's premiere musical theatre cabaret and spoken word series to serve the DC artistic community on a weekly basis. The show then opened a touring chapter in New York City on June 9, 2013 at Bowery Poetry Club and continues to do so on a monthly basis. Most recently the show moved from the Black Fox Lounge to James Hoban's Irish Restaurant and Bar in DC and re-launched on January 12, 2015Past musical performers include Helen Hayes Award nominees and recipients: Priscilla Cuellar, Nicholas Rodriguez, Diana Huey, Nova Y. Payton, Erin Driscoll, Matt Conner, Chris Sizemore, Will Gartshore, and Joshua Morgan alongside international spoken word artists: Gail Danley, Sonya Renee Taylor, Sophia Walker and Vijai Nathan.

Don Michael Mendoza: Originally from Pittsburgh, Don Michael Mendoza received his B.A. in Musical Theatre from American University. He performs in productions throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area, but found his main calling as a producer. In January 2012, Don Michael co-founded La-Ti-Do and currently serves as its Executive Artistic Director. La-Ti-Do is DC's only critically acclaimed musical theatre cabaret and spoken word series to serve the artistic community on a weekly basis, tours to New York City on a monthly basis and soon to Los Angeles by 2016. After more than three years, he's collaborated and worked with numerous major theatrical and spoken word organizations in the nation's capital including The Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, Signature Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Studio Theatre, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Theatre J, No Rules Theatre Company, Busboys & Poets, Split This Rock and many others. Regie Cabico: The Kenyon Review recently named him the "Lady Gaga of Poetry" and he has been listed in BUST magazine's "100 Men We Love." His plays have been produced at the 2003 Humana Theater Festival, 2004 Kennedy Center Play Lab, Joe's Pub, The Public Theater Festival, The Asian American Theater Festival, Living Word Festival, San Francisco. The Kitchen, Dixon Place, LaMama, The Philadelphia Fringe Festival, The New York Fringe Festival, Theater Offensive, among other venues. He received three New York Innovative Theater Award nominations for his work in the New York Production of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind with a 2006 award for Best Performance Art Production. Cabico has directed and served as dramaturg for several solo plays including Sasha Sinclair's "Self Portrait," Margaux Delotte-Bennett in Black and Kinky Among Brown Waves & Sahil Farooqi's "Brown Monkey Goes to McDonalds" to critical acclaim.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, is the new performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife. A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, 54 BELOW is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage. In their description of 54 BELOW, The New York Times writes "the club has the intimacy of a large living room with unimpeded views and impeccable sound; there is not a bad seat. Its sultry after-hours ambience is enhanced by brocade-patterned wall panels planted with orange-shaded lanterns.
