MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL-THE SURVIVOR TOUR is a great deal of fun. Each bouncy number has plenty of clever lyrics and deliberately silly choreography to keep the audience laughing. It is almost impossible not to clap and dance along with the performers as they perform such antics as playing instruments consisting of kitchen implements while singing 'The sheets are wet, the sheets are wet,' in a send-up of 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight.' The REP, Point Park University's professional theatre company, rings in 2015 with the world premiere of Prussia: 1866, Pittsburgh playwright Gab Cody's hilarious examination of Nietzsche and his proto-feminist friends. DALLAS, TX -  Parks Associates finds 16% of U.S. broadband households own a smart home device and one-third have experienced at least one technical problem with their devices. For example, 31% of owners of smart garage door openers and 26% of owners of smart smoke detectors have experienced technical problems. Among smart home device owners in U.S. broadband households, 56% are willing to pay $9.99 per month for a tech support service, and 43% are willing to pay $39.99 per month. (more...)

DALLAS, TX - New research from Parks Associates shows initiatives from retailers this holiday season will push smart home devices closer to mass-market adoption, with 37% of U.S. broadband households planning to purchase a smart home device in the next 12 months. Multiple retailers are expanding the shelf space devoted to these devices, with Best Buy in particular devoting over 800 square feet in some locations to its connected home initiative. The entry of big brands like Apple, Google, and Honeywell is also increasing consumer awareness and making smart home devices popular as gifts. (more...)
