New England Conservatory's Jazz Studies Department marks the centennial of a great American jazz drummer and composer with The Music of Max Roach on Thursday, February 15, at 8 p.m. in NEC's Burnes Hall.

Acclaimed pianist and NEC faculty member Jason Moran joins NEC students to celebrate jazz legend Duke Ellington's 125th birthday on Thursday, February 1, 7:30 p.m. at Plimpton Shattuck Black Box Theatre.

The Carnegie Hall Citywide free concert series continues throughout the Hall's 2023–2024 season with a wide-ranging lineup of performances in celebrated community venues across New York City.

Jazz at Princeton University, helmed by acclaimed saxophonist/composer Rudresh Mahanthappa, presents the annual Princeton University Jazz Festival on Saturday, April 15. The festival features Artemis, Jazz at Princeton's chair Rudresh Mahanthappa and his Bird Calls ensemble, jazz greats playing with Princeton's exceptional student groups, and the legendary Rufus Reid with the Creative Large Ensemble.

Mesmerism meets drummer Tyshawn Sorey featuring pianist Aaron Diehl and bassist Matt Brewer. Sorey – a 2017 MacArthur Fellow, Professor of Music at the University of Pennsylvania, collaborator with Vijay Iyer, Kris Davis, Roscoe Mitchell, Hafez Modirzadeh, Myra Melford, Marilyn Crispell and other musical luminaries

On Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 8:00PM at Roulette Intermedium, the International Contemporary Ensemble will present Fay Victor's SIRENS AND SILENCES - marking the debut performance of Victor's work in a concert with the Ensemble after joining as a new, permanent Ensemble member in the summer of 2021 - and the world premiere of Kate Gentile's biome ii.

Jazz at Lincoln Center announced its May and June 2022 programming at Dizzy’s Club, featuring a diverse lineup of club favorites and rising stars alongside the launch of a new concert series, special events, and celebrations of giants of jazz history from Slide Hampton and Ralph Peterson to Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and Thelonious Monk.

The Nasher Sculpture Center announces 'SCULPTING SOUND: Twelve Musicians Encounter Bertoia', a series of six historic concerts, from February 22–27, 2022, bringing together twelve master musicians to explore the expressive range of Harry Bertoia's sounding sculptures, in complement to the exhibition Harry Bertoia: Sculpting Mid-Century Modern Life on view at the Nasher January 29 – April 23, 2022. 

It presents music that Grand wrote and recorded at a pivotal time in her life, in early 2020 when she was five and a half months pregnant with her son, Ayní.
