On Monday, September 25, 2017, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 13 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, will present four honorary awards along side the 26 awards for outstanding achievement in theatre. Just announced, Tony winner Matthew Broderick will present the Outstanding Musical Award alongside fellow presenters Charles Busch, Angel Desai, Lane Harwell, David Pittu and Jennifer Van Dyck.

Award-winning Retro Productions, under the Artistic Direction of Heather E. Cunningham, opened the critically acclaimed play, And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little, on Friday. The play was written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Paul Zindel. The production runs through May 20that the Gene Frankel Theatre, numerous shows have already sold-out.

Retro Productions is pleased to announce that they will be donating a percentage of their box-office to the New York City based Neighborhood Cats. A catch, neuter, and release organization that was founded in 1999 by 3 Upper West Side neighbors who came together to help a colony of 30 feral cats.

Award-winning Retro Productions, under the Artistic Direction of Heather E. Cunningham, will present the critically acclaimed play, And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little. The production runs May 5th through May 20th at the Gene Frankel Theatre. Shay Gines, a Founding Executive Director of the New York Innovative Theatre Awards, directs. This is the 50th anniversary of And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little. The play was originally produced in Los Angles in 1967, and in 1971 the comedy opened on Broadway at the Morosco Theatre.

Theatre World to Launch 69th Volume at The Drama Book Shop This Friday

The Drama Book Shop will host celebrate the launch of Theatre World's 69th Volume - the only record of the American theatre season still in print. A book launch, signing, and panel discussion with the editors on 'Theatre Print Media in the Age of the Internet' will be held at the Tony Award winning Book Shop on Friday, December 4, 2015, from 5-7p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Retro Productions is celebrating their 10th anniversary with, The Butter and Egg Man by George S. Kaufman. Perhaps one of Kaufman's lesser known works, The Butter and Egg Man is a wonderful comedy about producing theater and was one of Kaufman's biggest Broadway successes when it opened at the Longacre Theatre in 1925. The production is directed by Ricardo Rust, who co-produced Retro Productions, An Appeal to the Woman of the House which was nominated for 3 New York Innovative Theater Awards and won an award for Heather E. Retro Productions to Participate in Inaugural Red Nose Day, 5/20-21

Retro Productions is celebrating North America's first Red Nose Day at their performances on May 20th & 21st. Red Nose Day was started by Comic Relief UK in 1988 and is now held every two years with the goal of raising funds for children and young people living in poverty. The US will celebrate its first Red Nose Day on May 21st. Retro Productions will be passing the hat after their performances of The Butter and Egg Man on May 20th & 21st and they'll also encourage their audience members and supporters to purchase red noses and tweet photos.
