2015 is almost here, and that means that a slew of new shows are on their way to the Great White Way. Before the 2015 Awards season gets started, no less than nineteen new productions will take tike their first Broadway bows. Catch up on what's in store for the season ahead below!
Breaking News: Renée Fleming Will Make Broadway Debut in Kathleen Marshall-Helmed LIVING ON LOVE; Opens in April 2015!

Producers Scott Landis and Philip Morgaman have confirmed that 4-time Grammy Award winner Renee Fleming will make her Broadway debut this spring in the new comedy Living on Love by two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, based on the play Peccadillo by Garson Kanin, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. The production begins performances on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 and will open on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). Living on Love will play an 18-week engagement through Sunday, August 2, 2015.Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, December 29, 2014.

It Shoulda Been You producers Daryl Roth, Scott Landis, Jane Bergere and Jayne Baron Sherman announced today that Tony Award nominee Montego Glover (Memphis), Josh Grisetti (Peter and the Starcatcher), Michael X. Martin (The Bridges of Madison County), Anne L. Nathan (Once), Nick Spangler (Book of Mormon) and Chip Zien (Into the Woods) will join the cast of the new musical comedy, directed by David Hyde Pierce. They join previously announced stars Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess, David Burtka, Lisa Howard, and Edward Hibbert, forming a blissful marriage of theatrical luminaries.

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Broadway's record-breaking, star-studded smash hit comedy It's Only a Play by 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, will welcome two new stars. Beginning January 7, 2015, two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning "30 Rock" alum Maulik Pancholy-in his Broadway debut-will assume the roles of 'Julia Budder' and 'Frank Finger', respectively.
Matthew Broderick Signs on for IT'S ONLY A PLAY's Extended Broadway Run

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Tony® Award winner Matthew Broderick has extended his contract with Broadway's smash hit It's Only A Play. Originally scheduled to appear in the production through its original closing date of January 4th, Broderick will continue to star in the production through its new end date on March 29, 2015. Broderick currently stars in the production opposite Nathan Lane, who exits on January 4th for a previously scheduled professional commitment. Beginning January 7th, Broderick will headline It's Only A Play opposite the previously-announced Martin Short.

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Broadway's record-breaking, star-studded smash hit It's Only a Play by 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, will extend, and with a new star: Tony and Emmy Award winner Martin Short will assume the role of 'James Wicker' originated by Nathan Lane, who departs January 4th to prepare for his upcoming performance in director Robert Falls' production of The Iceman Cometh at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2015.

Producers Daryl Roth, Scott Landis, Jane Bergere, Jayne Baron Sherman and John O'Boyle announced today that It Shoulda Been You, a new musical comedy directed by David Hyde Pierce in his Broadway directorial debut, will open this spring at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). With an original book & lyrics by Brian Hargrove and music by Barbara Anselmi, It Shoulda Been You puts a refreshingly modern spin on the traditional wedding comedy, proving that when it comes to wedding day insanity, it's all relative. Tony and Emmy Award-winner Tyne Daly and Tony Award-winner Harriet Harris headline a cast of Broadway favorites that also includes Sierra Boggess, David Burtka, Lisa Howard, Edward Hibbert and Steve Rosen. It Shoulda Been You, which had a sold-out premiere at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse, begins previews on Broadway on March 17, 2015, with an opening night date set for Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

The Denver Center Theatre Company presents the highly anticipated new adaptation of Meredith Willson's classic musical, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN. Based on the book by Richard Morris, the revitalized production will feature a new book and additional lyrics by three-time Tony Award nominee Dick Scanlan (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and showcase never before heard songs from Willson's prolific body of work with musical adaptation by Michael Rafter(Violet). The Night Alive, written by Conor McPherson, recently took home the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award (NYDCC) for Best Play of the 2012-2013 season. All the Way, written by Robert Schenkkan received the award for Best American Play. A Fun Home received the award for Best Musical. The awards were presented at a cocktail reception on Friday, May 16, at 54 Below.

The 80th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon is being held this afternoon, May 16, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square, where winners will be announced for Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. This year's event, which began at noon, is hosted by Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Over 400 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm on Monday, June 2 at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street, NYC). In 2012, TDF's Open Doors was the first arts education program to receive a special Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre. This year, Open Doors had 27 mentors working with 24 groups of students from New York City high schools.

Roundabout Theatre Company opened officially last night April 24, 2014 at the newly transformed Kit Kat Klub at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street).
