Princeton Summer Theater draws their 2016 season to a close with Sam Shepard's Fool for Love, which opens on Thursday, August 4th and runs until Sunday, August 14th. Winner of multiple Obie Awards, Sam Shepard's dramedy unfolds in a motel room in the Mojave Desert in which we find the continuously bickering former lovers May and Eddie. There, they unravel their tangled relationship, almost tearing each other apart. A dark exploration into love and family, Fool for Love shows us how our pasts surely come back to haunt us. (more...)

Prolific composer Richard Hartley has written for stage and screen, including film scores for The Romantic Englishwoman, The Lady Vanishes, Nicolas Roeg's Bad Timing, Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty, and an Emmy-winning score for Channel 4's Alice in Wonderland. He's also worked extensively in theatre, but is perhaps best known for his partnership with Richard O'Brien, which began in 1973 with the iconic Rocky Horror Show - Richard Hartley arranged the score and performed in the original band, and went on to arrange music for the film adaptation. Classic Stage Company has announced that Mirirai Sithole is this year's recipient of the Rosemarie Tichler Fund grant. The Fund was established in 2010 with the mission to assist young actors who have appeared at CSC and who have recently made the transition from their training into the profession. The $3,000 grant can be used by the young artist to continue training or to offset loans they may have incurred while studying their craft. With the grant, CSC hopes to make a difference in the lives of young actors at the start of their careers as well as to heighten awareness in the community to the specific needs of actors.  (more...)

Princeton Summer Theater's 2016 season second show opens on Thursday, June 30th with Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage. After a playground fight erupts between their two young sons, two sets of parents are brought together in a meeting to resolve the matter. While they play nice at first, they soon devolve into outlandish, bickering children themselves. The 2009 Tony Award-Winner for Best Play, Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage is an energetic and hilarious triumph, showing us what is underneath the polite facade of these upper class adults.  (more...)
