Last March, AMC announced that it has hired directors for its 'Knifeman' and 'Galyntine' pilots, both of which will be produced by AMC Studios in 2014 for consideration for series for 2015. Today, Variety reports that AMC will not give series orders to the two drama pilots. (more...)

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents The Petersons in "Oh, my God! It's The Petersons!" on Saturday, September 27th at 930pm. The Petersons are a five piece contemporary music ensemble comprised of five accomplished actors, writers, and comedians who play original rock tunes and present a continuing serial comedy about a misfit band from upstate New York who still want to make it big. Having performed more than 40 of these episodes around New York City at Joe's Pub, Caroline's on Broadway, The Bottom Line and many other venues, the band returns to the scene with their first performance in several years. The Irish Repertory Theatre, which 'encourages the development of works focusing on the Irish and Irish American experience, as well as a range of other cultures,' continues the eighth season of its Reading Series with Jen Silverman's play The Moors, directed by Jackson Gay. The reading will take place on Monday, July 28 at 3pm on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage of the Irish Repertory Theatre (132 W. 22nd Street). The reading is FREE and open to the public.
