This August, the Bard Music Festival returns for its 33rd season, with an intensive two-week exploration of “Vaughan Williams and His World.”

The Fisher Center at Bard and its renowned annual Bard SummerScape festival both celebrate their 20th anniversaries this year. “A hotbed of intellectual and aesthetic adventure” (New York Times), SummerScape returns to New York's Hudson Valley this summer with seven weeks of live music, opera, music-theater, and more, in the Frank Gehry-designed Fisher Center and other venues on the idyllic Bard College campus (June 23–Aug 13).

The intrepid Yarn/Wire, longtime champions of the composer, performs the world premiere of a pair of commissioned works, in which Thomas Meadowcroft pulls from an array of influences to create his own unique take on pop songs.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra under the direction of Music Director Christopher Wilkins celebrates international cultures and collaboration in two free concerts titled 'Common Ground' on February 26 at Hibernian Hall in Roxbury and on February 27 at the Bethel AME Sanctuary in Jamaica Plain.

The Bard Music Festival returns for its 31st season this August, with a rare and intensive two-week exploration of “Nadia Boulanger and Her World.” In twelve themed concert programs, performed live with limited in-person audiences, Bard examines Nadia Boulanger (1887–1979), the pioneering Parisian pedagogue, composer, conductor, pianist, organist and indomitable personality who shaped more than a generation of American musicians.

Bard SummerScape's 17th edition celebrates one of the most important female figures in classical music history, with seven weeks of music, opera, theater, dance, film and the SummerScape Spiegeltent, centered around the 31st Bard Music Festival, 'Nadia Boulanger and Her World.'
