Celebrating its 30th year as Delaware’s off-Broadway theatre, City Theatre delivers DANCING IN LUGHNASA, a stunning tour de force in ensemble acting, direction (Mary Catherine Kelley), linguistics/dialect (Michael Toner), scenic design (Rick Neidig) and every musical and technical aspect imaginable. The production was greeted with a Standing O opening night; a deserving distinction indeed.

Utah Opera will perform Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre for five performances. Performances will run March 9-17, 2024.

The Cleveland Orchestra announced updates to its inaugural Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival: The American Dream, which takes place this spring at Severance Music Center and with Cleveland partner organizations.

Elwood P. Dowd is an affable man who claims to have an unseen (and presumably imaginary) friend Harvey — whom Elwood describes as a six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit pooka resembling an anthropomorphic rabbit. As Songs of Summer, a free, 15-performance recital series concludes this week, Seattle Opera unveils its Fall Season. With a variety of free performances and programming to enjoy at home, the Fall Season was created with both artistic innovation-and public safety-in mind, said General Director Christina Scheppelmann.

MA Jolie Fleur (“My pretty flower” in French) is Los Angeles based, New Orleans born/raised visual artist, music video director and music-maker Myke Adams.  Today, he released the track, “Good Life,” the first single from the upcoming debut album “Love Is Fire” from MJF.

Opera companies worldwide have found themselves canceling their seasons, including Des Moines Metro Opera (DMMO).  The difference with DMMO is that they have had an Emmy winning partnership with Iowa Public Television, now called Iowa Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), coming together to give you the best seats in the house with a virtual season, starting June 28 with their Emmy-winning MANON by Massenet.

Margaret Edson's Pulitzer-Price winning play 'Wit' focusers on Dr. Vivian Bearing, a 50-year-old professor of English who is dying from ovarian cancer. The play examines the dispassionate way cancer patients are treated, with Sindy McKay-Swerdlove delivering a startling and emotional performance as Dr. Bearing.
