Otherworld Theatre Company, the premier science fiction and fantasy production company in North America, has announced new additions and confirmed dates for the first half of their 2023 season, throughout which the theatre celebrates its tenth anniversary year. 

Little Big Woman Productions will premiere Debra Keenahan’s provocative one-woman performance, Othering from 13th to 15th January at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre as part of the 2023 Sydney Festival.

Theatre 29 and Director Charles Harvey has announced casting for the new Off-Broadway comedy farce 'Puffs' which will play weekends October 14 - 30. Written by Matt Cox, 'Puffs' as a transformative & transfigured work under the magic that is US Fair Use laws. Puffs is not authorized, sanctioned, licensed or endorsed by J.K Rowling, Warner Bros. or any person or company associated with the Harry Potter books, films or play.

Puffs is the story of Wayne Hopkins: a regular boy who finds out he's a wizard and goes to school in England where he makes two best friends and has adventures. This perhaps sounds familiar. But, Wayne is sorted as a Puff, he and the other Puffs simply want to learn how to be wizards and avoid attacks by evil wizards. This show is rated PG13. Audience is encouraged to wear costumes as we will have a costume contest! Cash bar for those over 21 years of age. 'Puffs,' or 'Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic' (by Matt Cox and presented this week by the students of the Anacapa School of Witchcraft and Wizardry), seeks to tell the stories of one of the less visible houses at a “certain school of magic”: the “puffs.”

The Howard Community College theatre program presents three productions at the Horowitz Center this spring through June 2022.
