Premiere Stages at Kean University will present the New Jersey Premiere of Dominique Morisseau's Mud Row July 14-31 in Kean University's Bauer Boucher Theatre Center.

This year, New Jersey Theatre Alliance (“The Alliance”), one of the state's largest arts service organizations, hosted their Ovation Gala on May 5, 2022 at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, celebrating its 40th Anniversary and the state and region's professional theatre community.

Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, has selected its four finalists for the 2022 Premiere Play Festival. Now in its 17th year, the Festival is an annual competition for unproduced scripts that offers developmental opportunities to playwrights with strong affiliations to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware. This year's finalists were selected from 655 submissions.

Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning American playwright August Wilson’s play “Radio Golf” will officially open the 2021-2022 mainstage season at Gulfshore Playhouse. Directed by Marshall Jones III, “Radio Golf” will play at Gulfshore Playhouse beginning Nov. 11 through Dec. 5, 2021.

The outdoor production, directed by Marshall Jones III will take place at the outdoor tent at Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, October 15-18, 2020.

Premiere Stages at Kean University will present Cheryl L. West's new play Fannie Lou Hamer, Speak On It!, directed by Marshall Jones III, at the outdoor tent at Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, October 15-18, 2020.

Crossroads Theatre Company's Genesis Festival of Plays is back for a three-day run of three new works that stand true to the theatre's history of telling stories that highlight issues and start conversations across ethnic, racial and cultural spectrums, Crossroads announced today.  The Genesis Festival, which will run February 21-23, is a playwright laboratory experience that consists of three separate shows of stage readings for the audience to enjoy and critique that will be held in the performance studio of The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC).
