This globally renowned company will kick off its season in New Orleans with a new show that will then tour the world. Since its founding in 1990 by visionary choreographer and director Mark Howard, TIDC has been hailed as the birthplace of the progressive Irish dance movement, blending the virtuosity and rapid-fire rhythms of traditional Irish dance with contemporary American innovations that paved the way for commercial productions like Riverdance. Chicago's own Trinity Irish Dance Company (TIDC) brings its unique form of progressive Irish dance to the Auditorium Theatre on February 2 for its first full-length Chicago performance in over a decade. Called "sophisticated and commanding" by the Los Angeles Times and "impossibly complex" by The New York Times, the company of elite performing artists from across North America (including five dancers from Chicago) presents both classic and groundbreaking world premiere works at the National Historic Landmark theatre. 

Brick Road Theatre will present the hit musical Mamma Mia! at Courtyard Theatre (1509 H Ave in Plano, Texas) October 19 - 28, 2018 directed by Katharine Quinn with music direction by Isaac Leaverton. Courtney Marie Andrews is nominated for “Emerging Artist of the Year” at the 2018 Americana Music Association Honors & Awards. The annual awards show is scheduled for September 12 at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC)made its spring announcement of 18 new shows added to the 2018-2019 season, continuing to showcase chart topping musicians, compelling dance companies, groundbreaking storytellers and authors and a wide range of holiday performances, all appealing to diverse audiences. Park City Institute presents Trinity Irish Dance Company, Saturday March 10, at 7:30 PM. Known for its percussive movements and its innovative choreography that honors the traditional art form, TIDC will perform on the Main Stage, part of the Institute's 20th Anniversary Season at the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Center.
