Award-winning singer and actor Steven Brinberg (Simply Barbra) brings his new show celebrating the 50th anniversary of the film version of HELLO, DOLLY! The Green Room 42, 570 Tenth Avenue at 42nd Street (in Yotel Hotel) NYC on Wednesday, May 15th at 7:00 pm. This DOLLY show contains most of the songs heard in the film plus songs from her latest album WALLS and of course some of her big hits. There will be a guest to be announced. Rubicon Theatre continues the company's 21st "Coming of Age" season with the World Premiere of WOMEN BEYOND BORDERS, a play inspired by and loosely based on the remarkable journey of Lorraine Serena and a dynamic group of California-based artists who founded the non-profit Women Beyond Borders (WBB). Determined to "make art as if the world matters," Serena and her friends fell upon the idea of box as metaphor: hope chest, treasure chest, womb, coffin, etc. They replicated a miniature wooden box no bigger than the size of a human heart and sent the boxes to curators and friends in other countries with the goal of encouraging dialogue, collaboration and community among women and honoring creativity. The founders of WBB were astonished at what came back to them - eloquent expressions of the enormous depth and variety, but also the universality, of women's experiences throughout the world. The boxes were accompanied by equally astonishing artists' statements, in the form of letters, poems and stories asking about transcending barriers: geographical, social, racial, economic, emotional, gender-related, spiritual, etc.

This Monday, April 29, 2019 is the annual benefit for The Center for Arts Education 'CAE CELEBRATION 2019' at The Yale Club of New York City (50 Vanderbilt Ave.) This gala evening is a benefit in support of arts education for all NYC public school students. There will be performances by: Lillias White, Emmy and Tony Award winning Broadway performer;Taia Bell, CAE Career Development Program alumna; and Hollis Headrick Jazz Ensemble. The CHAMPION OF ARTS EDUCATION HONOREES are Mark Golden, CEO, Golden Artist Colors, Inc. and Emmanuel Lubin, Field Support Liaison, NYC DOE District 29. THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will present the premiere of Tony Award winner Cady Huffman in Miss Peggy Lee: In Her Own Words and Music for two performances only, Monday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 12. In a brand-new show long-time collaborators Cady Huffman and Will Nunziata lovingly bring to life Miss ?Lee's extraordinary journey from her humble beginnings as Norma Deloris Egstrom of Jamestown, North Dakota to becoming one of the biggest stars the music world has ever seen.

The starry lineup is set for the seventh monthly concert in the year-long Broadway Sings spinoff series, Broadway Sings: Unplugged. Performers will include Tony Award and Emmy Award-winner Lillias White, J. Harrison Ghee (Lola in Kinky Boots), Kissy Simmons (Nala in The Lion King), Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture), Marissa Rosen (The Rocky Horror Show), and 16 year-old pop singer Caroline Cohen, in addition to other surprise guests.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer), New York City's award-winning pioneer in diversity and multi-ethnic casting in the performing arts since 1968 and celebrated its 50th Anniversary at its annual Gala Benefit Concert on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the The Angel Orensanz Foundation (172 Norfolk Street). Honorary Chair for the event is Academy Award-Winning actress and activist Whoopi Goldberg. Tony Award-winner Lillias White will be Mistress of Ceremonies evening.

On The Quays returns to The Green Room 42 on Sunday, June 23 at 7:00pm and 9:30pm for Stonewall 50|WorldPride, the largest Pride celebration in the world, with "50 Years of DIVAS", the fifth installment of the #howaboutlove concert series. The evening will be a night of fierce, ferocious fabulousness paying tribute to the Divas who provided the soundtrack to the last 50 years of the worldwide PRIDE movement that started right here in New York City.

The Green Room 42 brings New Generation Theater Company's 'Let Me Be Your Star' to New York City for a one night only engagement. 'Let Me Be Your Star' is a musical tribute to one of NBC's most treasured TV series SMASH. The performance will play Saturday, April 13th at 9:30pm at The Green Room 42. The night will feature numbers such as History Is Made at Night, They Just Keep Moving the Line, Never Give All the Heart, Broadway Here I Come, Let Me Be Your Star and more!

Theater for the New City and Executive Artistic Director Crystal Field will present a reading of Pie Lessons by Carrie Robbins, on Monday, March 11, 2019, 7:00 PM in the Community Space Theater at Theater for the New City.
