From late June to early August, Great Barrington Public Theater will bring a diverse six-weeks to the Daniel Arts Center, at Bard College at Simon's Rock, Great Barrington. Keeping with the Public's core mission, the 2021 program spotlights original work and new voices, largely comprised of local area talent.

Marylouise Burke (True West) and Andre De Shields (Hdestown) are the recipients of the annual Richard Seff Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation to veteran female and male character actors for the best performance in a supporting role in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production.  The announcement was made by Judy Rice, president of the Foundation, which administers the award.

The Burchfield Penney Art Center at SUNY Buffalo State in collaboration with SuiteCase Productions will present Occupant, a play by Edward Albee for two performances Friday, March 29 - Saturday, March 30, 8 pm, in the Center's Tower auditorium. The Theatre Group at SBCC will present the classic comedy, HARVEY by Mary Chase, directed by R. Michael Gros, February 27-March 16, 2019 in the Garvin Theatre.

Theater streaming service, BroadwayHD, announces two brand-new additions to its diverse, on-demand lineup with tonight's closing week capture of the Tony Award-winning play INDECENT, as well as the addition of previously captured FALSETTOS.

It has just been announced that on April 26, Roundabout's acclaimed production of Steven Levenson's new play IF I FORGET will be captured on video by BroadwayHD, to be released on demand to BroadwayHD subscribers in Fall 2017 (date TBA).

Wagner College Theatre Stage One kicks off the 2016-17 Season with the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-Winning play, Proof by David Auburn, with performances October 4 through 9.   Proof is a remarkable and engaging play about fathers and daughters, genius and insanity, legacy and truth. The Actors' Equity Foundation's 2016 Clarence Derwent Awards for most promising female and male performers on the New York metropolitan scene have gone to Alana Arenas (Head of Passes) and Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen). The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, president of the Foundation, which administers the awards.

The Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciaran O'Reilly, Producing Director) presents its first production of 2016, THE BURIAL AT THEBES written by Irish Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney, based on Sophocles' Antigone.  Directed by Charlotte Moore, THE BURIAL AT THEBES will now star two-time Emmy Award-winner and Tony nominee Larry Bryggman (Proof, Picnic, "As the World Turns") as Creon, The King of Thebes (who replaces the previously announced John Cullum), and Rebekah Brockman (seen as Nettie on the acclaimed Cinemax series "The Knick") as Antigone.  THE BURIAL AT THEBES will be performed Thursday, January 14 - Sunday, March 6, 2016.
