Julie Halston (You Can't Take It With You) and Brad Oscar (Something Rotten!) are the recipients of the annual Richard Seff Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation to veteran female and male character actors for the best performance in a supporting role in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production. 

New Jersey Repertory Company, located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch, has announced the World Premiere of Closure by Richard Dresser for a limited engagement from June 25 through July 19, 2015.

Peter Maloney and Mare Winningham are the recipients of the annual Richard Seff Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation to a veteran male and female character actor for the best performance in a supporting role in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production. The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, president of the Foundation, which administers the award.

The Public Theater announced today that single tickets are now on sale for the 2014 spring season, beginning on February 18 with ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA, the exciting international collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company and GableStage in Miami. Edited and directed by MacArthur Fellow Tarell Alvin McCraney, ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA will run through Sunday, March 23, with an official press opening on Wednesday, March 5 in the Anspacher Theater.

After more than three decades away, Reed Birney made a well-deserved return to the Broadway stage when Roundabout's production of Picnic opened earlier this month. He plays Howard Bevans, the small-town businessman who gets entangled with "old-maid schoolteacher" Rosemary Sydney (Elizabeth Marvel). Between his 1977 Broadway debut inGemini and his current turn as Howard, Birney found himself working off-Broadway. He gained critical acclaim for his work-particularly for his portrayal of the violent Ian in Sarah Kane's Blasted at SoHo Rep, a departure from his customary "nice-guy" roles. Proof, the 2001 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play by American playwright David Auburn will be presented for 8 performances only at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street - between Lafayette & Bowery). Produced by an ensemble of independent New York actors and artists, performances will begin on Thursday, February 21st and continue through Sunday, March 3rd.

Just yesterday, Atlantic Theater Company held the grand reopening of its main stage Linda Gross Theater following a historic $8.3 million renovation of the landmark theater housed in a nineteenth century church in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood.
