Target Margin Theater will dedicate its 24th season to the exploration of works created by the great American novelist, poet and playwright, Gertrude Stein. The 2015 Season begins in January 2015 with The TMT Stein Winter Lab at The Bushwick Starr in Brooklyn, and concludes in May 2015 with the world premiere of Composition…Master-Pieces…Identity, a new performance piece from Obie Award-winner David Greenspan, and The TMT Stein Spring Lab, that will run in tandem at The Connelly Theater at the Cornelia Connelly Center in Manhattan. Yesterday, November 10, 2014, Theatre Communications Group (TCG) celebrated its annual gala. This year the organization honored Jules Fisher, Lynn Nottage, and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation at 583 Park Avenue in New York City. The performances included previews of two productions from TCG Member Theatres: A Walk on the Moon (New York Stage and Film) and Immediate Family (About Face Theatre, Center Theatre Group, and the Goodman Theatre). The B Street Theatre proudly presents the California premiere of Lisa D'Amour's Obie Awarding-winning comedy Detroit on the Mainstage. The Obie Awards, Off-Broadway's highest honor, have been presented by New York's Village Voice since 1955 to spotlight the more adventurous Off-Broadway movement's achievements. The play's wildly popular production at Playwrights Horizons earned it the coveted 2012 Obie Award for Best New American Play along with Julia Jarcho's Grimly Handsome.
