Serial killer John Wayne Gacy was an aspiring politician, beloved local contractor, and part-time clown-for-hire who murdered 33 young men between 1972 and 1976. PREACHING EVIL: A WIFE ON THE RUN WITH WARREN JEFFS, a docuseries that tells the story of polygamist cult leader Warren Jeffs through the lens of his favorite wife Naomi Jessop. The series features Jeffs’ former wife Vicki Thompson and their children Wendell and Sarah, members of law enforcement, and the lawyers involved in Jeffs’ sentencing. 

Written solo by lead singer Cody Cannon, the group celebrated by Esquire for their “straight-up, booze-swilling, highway-driving, heart-on-your-sleeve, blood-on-your-knuckles country music” is back with even more new music with the release of new song ‘Antioch’. The track is from Whiskey Myers’ sixth studio album Tornillo.

This week I saw productions of two decades-old musicals, each written by one of theatre's great composer/lyricists, which, in their original productions, ran a combined total of nine performances on Broadway.

For genre-bending band Whiskey Myers, 2019’s self-titled and self-produced album offered a watershed moment. The first taste of that new music comes today via lead single ‘John Wayne’ and album intro ‘Tornillo’, both available everywhere now with the album itself available for pre-order and pre-save now!

The reviews are in for Olney Theatre Center's world premiere of A.D. 16, now on stage through March 6, 2022. The new musical is by writers Cinco Paul (co-creator of Despicable Me and Schmigadoon!) and Bekah Brunstetter (producer and writer on This Is Us).
