John Tillinger to Direct Westport Country Playhouse's THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE, 8/19-9/6

Veteran Broadway director and Tony Award nominee John Tillinger will return to Westport Country Playhouse to direct another of Alan Ayckbourn's comedies, 'Things We Do for Love,' August 19 - September 6. Tillinger has directed other Ayckbourn plays for Westport, including 'Relatively Speaking,' 'Time of My Life,' and 'How the Other Half Loves.' He also directed the theater's productions of A. R. Gurney's 'Sylvia' and 'Children,' as well as a Script in Hand playreading of Gurney's 'The Golden Age.' (more...)

Bucks County Playhouse announced a special two day engagement of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters, starring theatre, television and film legends Tyne Daly and James Earl Jones. Love Letters will be performed tonight, October 20th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m. at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street). Following the Saturday evening performance, there will be a benefit reception underwritten by The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm (barleysheaf.com) to honor the cast and raise money for the Playhouse. Tony-Winner Douglas Hodge to Return to Broadway as CYRANO

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that Tony® Award winner Douglas Hodge will star in a new Broadway production of Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, with a translation by Ranjit Bolt and directed by Jamie Lloyd. Cyrano de Bergerac will begin previews on September 14, 2012 and open officially on October 11, 2012 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street).
