FACTORY THEATRE has announced the World Premiere of Marjorie Chan's LADY SUNRISE, directed by Factory's Artistic Director, Nina Lee Aquino. The play features a powerful ensemble of six Asian Canadian women, Belinda Corpuz, Ma-Anne Dionisio, Zoé Doyle, Rosie Simon, Lindsay Wu, and Louisa Zhu. Presented at FACTORY THEATRE, February 15 - March 8, 2020 (opening night February 20, 2020).

FRAGMENTS. will run November 19 to December 1 at The Theatre Centre (Opening Night November 21).

Internationally renowned circus troupe FLIP Fabrique will this Spring be bringing their aerial adventures to Underbelly Festival Southbank for a six-week run as one of the headline acts of this year's jam-packed festival. Inspired by what it means to be a member of a high-flying touring troupe, the company will flip, tumble and spring their way through the ups and downs of being on tour, the friendship and fun of being together, and the transient nature of life itself. With infectious warmth, FLIP Fabrique merge heart-stopping aerial routines, first-class circus skills and a jaw-dropping trampoline-wall, for an audience of children and grown-ups alike.

It was with great sadness that the Stratford Festival learned of the death of Ian Watson yesterday, of cancer. An expert in Shakespearean text, Mr. Watson was a key member of the Festival's coaching staff.

Nightwood Theatre's Board of Directors are thrilled to announce Andrea Donaldson as the new Artistic Director. With nearly 20 years of professional experience, Andrea has been a vibrant presence in Toronto's theatre scene. She has worked as a playwright, actor, and producer but most significantly she has focused her career on Directing and Artistic Direction with a strong emphasis on new play development and nurturing women's voices. Andrea will assume her new role in May 2019. Kelly Thornton will remain Artistic Director until April 30, 2019.

In January, New Conservatory Theatre Center presents Late Company, written by "the hottest name in Canadian theatre" (The Montreal Gazette), Jordan Tannahill and directed by fearless local sensation, Evren Odcikin. This gripping, fast-paced drama centers around a family grappling to find meaning and redemption after the suicide of their son, who was frequently bullied about his sexuality. In keeping with NCTC's foundation of anti-bullying activism and prevention, Late Company is proud to partner with No Bully, Queer Life Space, and San Francisco Suicide Prevention to increase awareness of the effects of cyberbullying on LGBT youth.

Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino has announced key casting for the 2019 season, including Michael Blake as Othello and Amelia Sargisson as Desdemona in the season opener, Othello, one of Shakespeare's greatest and best-known tragedies.

Following the announcement of kicking off Opening Night with the world premiere of Steven Tyler's documentary OUT ON A LIMB, the Nashville Film Festival continues its lineup for the ten-day festival (May 10-19, 2018) with the announcement of 48 additional feature films in Narrative, Documentary, New Directors and Graveyard Shift competitions. Capturing the essence of today's most relevant social issues, historical stories and more, these 48 films hail from China, South Africa, Netherlands, Denmark, India, France and more, as well as 31 from the U.S. A jury of industry professionals will select the winning films that will take home up to $20,000 in cash and prizes.
