The production officially opened January 24th to unanimous rave reviews led by Broadway World which hailed it as a?oeengrossing and unforgettable!a?? Chris Bohjalian's book, which has sold more than two million copies since its publication, was an early selection of Oprah's Book Club and its 2001 film adaptation starred Sissy Spacek.

Chris Bohjahlian's first bestseller MIDWIVES was selected by Oprah Winfrey as one of the earliest entries to her book club upon the novel's publication in 1998. So it's a natural fit as this season's book club selection at George Street Playhouse.
