Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) will open its 43rd Season with the hilarious whodunit, The 39 Steps – a mix of Alfred Hitchcock's juicy spy flick with a dash of vintage Monty Python – from September 14 to October 2, according to Nancy L. Donahue Artistic Director Courtney Sale and Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. The Porters of Hellsgate have announced the extension of the world premiere of DI Lady DI, written and performed by Charlotte Munson. DI Lady DI was named Best Musical at the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival and was nominated for Fringe First and Top of the Fringe awards.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre Names Constance Macy New Artistic Director

Indiana's Discovering Broadway Inc. has revealed cast and creative team for its previously announced writers retreat for an untitled in-development musical with a book, music, and lyrics by Zack Zadek. The retreat is set for May 12-23, with a culminating concert of the material planned for May 21 at The Cabaret in Indianapolis.
