On Friday, April 16, 2010 at 8:00PM, The New York Pops will celebrate Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe at Carnegie Hall with a vibrant program of the timeless music created by the iconic songwriting duo. Headlining the program are Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot, the stars of the Tony award-winning Broadway revival South Pacific. Tenor Michael Slattery, The Clurman Singers, and dancers from the New York Theatre Ballet join The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke for this thrilling collection of classic favorites from My Fair Lady, Camelot, Paint Your Wagon, Gigi and Brigadoon.

Tony Award winner David Henry Hwang is set to take part in the Asian American Literary Festival, which will be held November 13th and 14th. The even is presented by the Asian American Writers' Workshop. The festival will be honoring literary figure Sonny Mehta, chairman and editor-in-chief of the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, as the recipient of the 2009 The Asian American Writers' Workshop's Lifetime Achievement Award. As part of the two day festivities, Hwang will participate on a panel, 'Beyond Harold and Kumar: Representation in a Not-Yet-Post-Racial Era' at at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, at the PowerHouse Arena (37 Main Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn).

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts will break tradition this year rolling out its entire 2010 Filene Center summer season at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in four separate installments, the first one on Monday, October 26. By announcing shows as they are booked throughout the winter and spring months, Wolf Trap patrons, members, and prospective members will have advanced access to their favorite summer performers. Premium in-house seats will be available on October 26 to Wolf Trap members, well in advance of the November 21 general public on-sale.

The Collegiate Chorale, led by new music director James Bagwell, announces its 68th season, including The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, a concert performed live to the film on October 9 and 10, 2009 at 7:30pm at Radio City Music Hall; a Gala Evening, A Jubilant Song, on December 1, 2009 at 7pm at Carnegie Hall; the World Premiere Two Act Concert Version of Ricky Ian Gordon and Michael Korie's rendering of The Grapes of Wrath on March 22, 2010 at 8pm at Carnegie Hall; and George Frideric Handel's Israel in Egypt, conducted by James Bagwell, on May 12, 2010 at 8pm at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, New York University.
