This fall, a once-in-a-lifetime experience comes to New York as Howard Shore's Grammy® and Academy Award®-winning score for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring comes to life at the world-famous Radio City Music Hall for two performances only, on Friday, October 9th and Saturday, October 10th. Beneath an immense 60-foot screen, Mr. Shore's complete original score will be performed live to Peter Jackson's award-winning epic.

The programs include two world premiere commissions: American Reflections by Brian Wilbur Grundstrom, and Concerto for Shakuhachi and Chamber Orchestra by James Nyoraku Schlefer along with the United States premiere of Pehr Henrik Nordgren's Cronaca for Strings.

Due to the on-going Hollywood writers' strike, The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards NBC telecast and champagne dinner in The Beverly Hilton's International Ballroom is officially cancelled. Instead, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association today announced that the recipients of Golden Globe Awards in 25 categories will be revealed during an hour-long HFPA press conference at The Beverly Hilton to be covered live by NBC News beginning at 6PM PST on Sunday, January 13.
