Less than a month after the launch of the Cape Chamber Music Collective in and around Cape Town, the collective has assembled a star-studded ensemble to premiere another new South African composition at five concerts in Cape Town and the Boland.

The London Symphony Orchestra will be in residence this March at Santa Barbara's Music Academy of the West to perform three programs under the leadership of its Music Director, Sir Simon Rattle (March 24-27).

New England Conservatory has announced their spring 2022 Season. Highlights include NEC Wind Ensemble and Choirs offer a 50th anniversary celebration of the Wind Ensemble by presenting Igor Stravinsky's 'Symphony of Psalms,' and the world premiere commission of Chris Brubeck's first wind ensemble piece, 'Fifty'.

Interlochen Arts Camp has announced the conductors and repertoire for the 2022 World Youth Symphony Orchestra, the program's flagship ensemble. 

The San Diego Symphony today announced its winter-spring 2022 concert season, offering 31 performances of classical and contemporary masterworks and chamber music from January 15 through May 28. Presented as “Hear Us Here,” the season will give the San Diego Symphony the opportunity to bring its music to a wider audience, with concerts performed at nine venues in the city and across the County, including the Symphony's newest venue, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.

The Houston Symphony is observing Halloween this year with a weekend of performances of Hector Berlioz’s masterpiece of the macabre, Symphonie fantastique. This month’s classical subscription concerts feature the famed Berlioz symphonic wild ride, as well as Dame Jane Glover’s and Italian conductor Jader Bignamini’s return to the Jones Hall podium, and Symphony Principal Flute Aralee Dorough and Principal Bassoon Rian Craypo stepping forward to perform soloist roles.

Award-winning choreographer Doug Varone's NYC-based dance company Doug Varone and Dancers comes to the Hammer Theatre Center in downtown San Jose October 29 & 30, to present an evening of three stunning works: Somewhere, Lux, and Octet.

Washington Concert Opera has announced their 2021-2022 season. This year marks the organization’s 35th anniversary and WCO is excited to celebrate that milestone with a return to live season productions (venue TBA) and with the return of their popular series, Opera Outside, which will bring two free concerts to Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park.

San Francisco Opera's weekly, free opera streams continue in July with Janáček's intense family drama Jenůfa (July 10–11), Berlioz's massive epic Les Troyens (The Trojans) (July 17–18), Strauss' emotional thriller Elektra (July 24–25) and Verdi's Tyrolean tragedy Luisa Miller (July 31–August 1).

As part of Carnegie Hall’s 2021–22 season, the Boston Symphony Orchestra will perform two programs on March 14 and 15, 2022, led by Andris Nelsons. These programs will also be featured in the BSO’s 2021–22 season at Symphony Hall in Boston. Mr. Nelsons and the BSO will announce complete details of the 2021–22 season on Friday, June 18.

Opera Santa Barbara will highlight its 20|21 Season Chrisman Studio Artists with a Spring Showcase with two performances Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6 at 2:30PM at Center Stage Theater. Tickets are $28 and capacity is limited. Patrons are encouraged to buy early and review theater policies in effect.

The Dallas Opera's annual spring gala has been reimagined as a special virtual fundraising event this year, and will stream on TDO's website beginning Friday, May 7 at 7 p.m.

San Francisco Opera's Department of Diversity, Equity and Community (DEC) announced new Opera Aficionado virtual conversations from April through June.

The Cincinnati May Festival has announced program details and artists for the 2021 Festival with five performances taking place between May 21 and 30, 2021 at Cincinnati Music Hall.  Principal Conductor Juanjo Mena will conduct two performances each of two separate programs with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

The Paris Opera Ballet has taken its annual fundraising gala to the virtual stage this year. Ballet Défilé, presenting the Paris Opera dancers from the petits rats up to the Etoiles, opens the 6th edition of the Opening Gala. Gathering the works of three different choreographers, this evening presents a blend of classicism and modernity.

PST, Russell Thomas, Los Angeles Opera’s new Artist in Residence, welcomes Ashley Faatoalia, Tiffany Townsend, Alaysha Fox and pianist Leonard Hayes to the On Now digital stage for the first episode in its After Hours series, 'Black Love.” Enjoy sweet renditions of works by composers such as H.T. Burleigh, Undine Smith Moore, and Margaret Bonds.
