With influences ranging from the David Bowie, Yes and Captain Beefheart to CSNY, Fleetwood Mac and Harry Nilsson, Yves Jarvis continues to expand his sound on ‘The Zug.' Sacramento-based singer-songwriter Bobby Halvorson is pleased to release his latest single 'Function,' the lastest single to be lifted from his album Parasympathy. Parasympathy, which will be released on up-and-coming label George Records, will include many of the songs he’s recently released in addition to five more unreleased tracks.

Los Angeles singer and songwriter Christian Lee Hutson has shared “Age Difference” today, a song from his upcoming album ‘Quitters’ that allows Hutson to expand on the Los Angeles character song tradition of Randy Newman and Harry Nilsson. Bobby Halvorson spent over a decade in the Los Angeles music scene playing shows with his art rock band Brother, Sister. With a doctorate in music composition, Halvorson has worked as an arranger for many artists including Sondre Lerche, Tim Heidecker, Inara George, and Morgxn adorning their work with strings, winds, and chorus.

Los Angeles Philharmonic Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel and Chief Executive Officer and David C. Bohnett Chief Executive Officer Chair Chad Smith announced new details of the LA Phil’s winter-spring programs at Walt Disney Concert Hall, from January 7 through June 14, 2022.

The American Dance Festival and the North Carolina Museum of Art have partnered to present Together We Dance, an outdoor festival in the Joseph M. Bryan, Jr., Theater in the Museum Park from September 9 to 16.

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, will continue Daytime Pop Up Performances through April 19, 2021 at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. The album is comprised of songs Michael Nesmith wrote throughout his career, all beautifully reimagined.  Produced by Nesmith's son, Christian Nesmith, this is the album Monkees fans have waited years to hear. 

The Paul Taylor Dance Company returns to the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, February 18 at 7 PM, its first public performance since the pandemic shut down performance venues in March 2020.
