The co-chairs of Northwestern University's 90th annual Waa-Mu Show have announced the title and theme for its upcoming production. “The Secret of Camp Elliott,” a supernatural mystery musical following three friends at summer camp in 1977. The production will be filmed and available for streaming June 9-20.
David Winitsky Is Named Kitchen Theatre Company's New Interim Producing Artistic Director

Director, producer and Cornell University alumnus ('93) David Winitsky has been named the new Interim Producing Artistic Director of Ithaca's Kitchen Theatre Company. David's appointment was unanimously approved by the Kitchen Theatre Company's Board of Directors. He succeeds M. Bevin O'Gara, the theatre's Producing Artistic Director since 2017.
American Shakespeare Center To Release Seven Titles For Streaming Via Website

American Shakespeare Center announced today that in response to the COVID-19 forced suspension of activities, they will release four productions from their 2020 Actors' Renaissance Season and three productions from their National Tour for streaming through a ticketed system on the company's website.

Asolo Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere of KNOXVILLE, a new musical by Frank Galati, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, opening April 10 (with previews starting April 3). The musical reunites the Tony Award®-winning creative team behind Broadway's Ragtime (1998). Frank Galati, an Asolo Rep associate artist, also directs the production, which will run through April 25. The world premiere of KNOXVILLE is made possible by a generous grant from The Roy Cockrum Foundation.

Cast Announced For A CHRISTMAS CAROL at the Goodman

More than 1.5 million people have experienced A Christmas Carol, 'the greatest seasonal story of alla?? (Chicago Tribune), now in its 42nd year at Goodman Theatre, November 16 a?" December 29. Under Artistic Associate Henry Wishcamper's direction for the seventh year, the annual production features Chicago actor Larry Yando, who leads the 25-member cast as the irascible businessman Ebenezer Scrooge. Joining Yando is Paris Strickland, 12, who reprises her role as Tiny Tim for the third year along with a host of returning favorites and eight newcomers; a complete cast list appears below. The new young performers in A Christmas Carol, cast from hundreds of Chicagoland youth who auditioned, include Jillian-Giselle Fabulous, 11, as Emily Cratchit, Isabel Kaegi, 17, as Belinda Cratchit; Vikram Konkimalla, 7, as Tiny Tim Alternate; and returning young performers include Asher Alcantara, 14, as Boy Scrooge; Nelson Simmons, 12, as Turkey Child.
