Nicolas Dromard and Desiree Davar brought their show “Bubbles and Taps” to Manhattan’s Green Room 42 stage on March 23rd. The show is a perfect blend of full out tap, jazz, & ballroom dancing with genuine full-throated singing in a Pop and Broadway style. There are tributes to both Broadway and some of Bway's favorite stars.

In the 19th century, Eliza Lynch made her notoriety when she traveled from her native Ireland and became the mistress-wife of the president of Paraguay's son.  She bore him six children and was considered 'an ambitious courtesan.'  Some believe she turned him into a bloodthirsty dictator.  Others debunk this story as war propaganda.   The theater company The Drunkard's Wife has turned her story into 'a spectacle with music.'

La MaMa presents the premiere of legendary playwright Jean-Claude van Itallie's The Fat Lady Sings at La MaMa's Downstairs Theater (66 East 4th Street). Directed by Drama Desk Award winner David Schweizer, the production is scheduled to begin previews on March 21, 2019, with an opening night on March 25, 2019 (running run through April 7, 2019). The cast will feature New York City Opera sensation, Lauren Flanigan, and actor, Tony Torn, known for his celebrated experimental theater work. They will be joined by Jake Horowitz, Nancy McArthur and Jose Useche.

The Weathervane Alumni Association invites you to attend a special concert benefit performance of the 2015 Broadway musical, It Shoulda Been You. The concert will star Weathervane alumni Leah Hocking (Mamma Mia, All Shook Up, Billy Elliott), Kirsti Carnahan (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Baby), Laura Hall (Wonderland), as well as Monica Rosenblatt in the role of Jenny Steinberg. The one-night-only benefit will raise funds for the Weathervane Alumni Association, whose mission is dedicated to enlarging creative and financial support for the Weathervane Theatre. The event will take place on Sunday, August 12 at 2:00pm at the Weathervane Theatre (389 Lancaster Road, Whitefield, NH 03598).

Based on the short story by Isak Dinesen (and made famous by the 1987 Academy Award-winning film), Babette's Feast will play its final performance Sunday May 13th,  at the Theatre at Saint Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between Ninth & Tenth Avenues).  Babette's Feast will have played 14 previews and 56 regular performances.

Based on the short story by Isak Dinesen (and made famous by the 1987 Academy Award-winning film), Babette's Feast will begin performances Wednesday March 14th at the Theatre at Saint Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between Ninth & Tenth Avenues) for an open-ended Off-Broadway engagement.  Opening Night is set for Sunday March 25th (5pm).  The performance runs 90 minutes with no intermission.

I was roughly 4 years older than her, but it was a barn in the middle of Vermont and no one seemed to care. Spending my summer with her, I knew she'd continue on to great things. A true talent - hilarious onstage, with a stunning voice and presence, it was a privilege to be onstage with her.

Folger Theatre starts the 2015/16 season with a limited engagement of texts&beheadings/ElizabethR, a world premiere play which explores England's Queen Elizabeth I.  Produced in conjunction with the international theater collective Compagnia de' Colombari, the play is created and directed by Karin Coonrod (Henry VI at the Public Theater and Julius Caesar at Theatre for A New Audience) and will be presented as a part of Washington, D.C.'s city-wide Women's Voices Theater Festival. texts&beheadings/ElizabethR is on stage at Folger Theatre for 16 performances, September 19 - October 4, 2015.
