“In thunder, lighting or in rain” rarely may have been a more appropriate Shakespearean line for the UK’s current weather. Yet after a stormy day, the skies cleared for opening night of the Globe’s latest production of Macbeth.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the cast of Macbeth, directed by Abigail Graham (The Merchant of Venice, 2022).

All new production photos have been released for War & Culture at New Diorama Theatre. Performances run 26 April – 12 May, 2023.

Love Island meets Below Deck in Benidorm in this OTT aestival pastiche. Prospero dons a speedo. Questionable tattoos cover a few of the cast. Shakespeare's Globe has announced the cast and company for a new production of The Tempest running this summer from 22 July - 22 October, directed by Sean Holmes. Shakespeare's tumultuous tale of reckoning and redemption will be brought to life by the Globe Ensemble, who have been thrilling audiences in the critically acclaimed season opening production of Much Ado About Nothing which runs until 23 October.

Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the cast and company for Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Lucy Bailey. This will be performed by the Globe Ensemble who will be returning for The Tempest on 22 July.

Following successful runs at the Old Vic, in the West End and in New York, Conor McPherson's Girl from the North Country returns for a limited run at the Gielgud Theatre. Anna-Jane Casey's past work includes Chicago, Billy Elliot and Calendar Girls, alongside regular appearances in the BBC's Prom series. She talks about her role, Bob Dylan's music and the audience reactions she's experienced so far.

After critically acclaimed, smash-hit runs at The Old Vic London, in London's West End, and at The Public Theater New York, Girl from the North Country comes to Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre for a strictly limited engagement. Performances are now on stage through Sunday, November 24.

Set in Bob Dylan's hometown of Duluth, Minnesota in 1934, writer and director Conor McPherson's GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY is equal parts bleak and beautiful. The busy story centers on the Laine family and their guest house; stressed father and husband Nick (Donald Sage MacKay) is busy caring for his wife Elizabeth (Katie Brayben), whose dementia has progressed to the point where she's like a rowdy child with a sailor's mouth. His issues double with their children Gene (Colin Bates), an alcoholic, would-be writer and Marianne (Gloria Obianyo), their adopted Black daughter who's several months pregnant.

The Lyric Hammersmith and Filter's critically acclaimed production of A Midsummer Night's Dream today announces the casting for the UK tour, which opens at the Lyric Hammersmith on Friday 13 April 2018. The cast and band includes Allyson Ava-Brown, George Fouracres, Daniel Fraser, David Ganly, Harry Jardine, Matt King Smith, Amy Marchant, Kayla Meikle, Alan Pagan, Michael Palmer and Dharmesh Patel.

Fatherland (Original Music from the Stage Show) is a collection of recordings by Underworld's Karl Hyde and producer/artist Matthew Herbert. The songs are based on extracts from the script for Fatherland, a play conceived and written in collaboration by Karl, playwright Simon Stephens (Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Punk Rock) and Frantic Assembly's Scott Graham. Premiering at Manchester International Festival this July.

The cast for Scott Graham, Karl Hyde and Simon Stephens' new production Fatherland has today been announced. The world premiere of this intensely physical production will be performed by a 13-strong cast, transforming the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, from 1st July.

Directed by Filter Theatre's Sean Holmes, with music and sound by Tom Haines and Ross Hughes, TWELFTH NIGHT is a ferocious reimaging of Shakespeare's classic comedy where nothing onstage is hidden and everything is revealed, from cables, costumes, props and more. Six actors, together with two musicians (Alan Pagan & Ross Hughes), perform all the various roles, often interacting directly with the audience as they run up the aisles or take seats next to surprised audience members, several of whom are called up onstage to participate in the show's outrageous antics. And be prepared to enjoy and pass along large boxes of delivery pizza when prompted to do so by the cast.

Two worlds collide in Filter Theatre's infectiously funny and irreverent take on Twelfth Night, Shakespeare's lyrical comedy of romance, satire and mistaken identity. Originally commissioned for the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) Complete Works Festival, Filter Theatre's Twelfth Night combines dynamic narrative drive with a dynamic rock 'n' roll score played live onstage. Performances begin Tuesday, March 14 and it will perform through Sunday, March 19.
