Under the directorship of Scottish composer Alasdair Nicolson, this year's multi-artform programme spans the world premiere of David McNeish's new play, Thora, directed by Gerda Stevenson, brings superb dance in the form of Scottish Ballet's debut, sees its first major outdoor installation from Architects of Air, and of course a strong music line-up courses through it.

Charlie Brown is BACK, live on stage, in Sinclair's Blair Hall Theatre from December 15th through the 18th. The Sinclair Theatre Dept. is offering this 40-minute holiday classic for the ninth time. With tickets remaining at their 2014 price of $8, this is a perfect introduction for young children to LIVE theatre.

The Young Company Winter Festival, performed by actors in grades 1-12, is the culmination of eight weeks of rehearsals by students and their professional directors, music directors, choreographers, stage managers, and design teams. The Young Company Winter Festival includes four fully staged productions: Disney's instant classic Frozen JR., the mischievous and playful Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, the raucous The Addams Family: A New Musical, and the new and exciting Firebringer.

Penobscot Theatre Company, the northeastern-most professional, regional theatre in the country, is proud to announce its upcoming holiday production of Matilda the Musical. Based on the book by Roald Dahl, Matilda tells the story of an imaginative young girl who emerges victorious in the face of adversity. Playing from December 5-29 at the historic Bangor Opera House, Matilda is sure to delight and inspire audiences.

The Imaginary Invalid, by Moliere, is the latest offering from The Blackwood Players.

General adult admission to the preview performances December 1 and 2 will be $25 and $27 respectively.
