While McCaw Hall's stage may be dark, opera music continues to reverberate in the Pacific Northwest and beyond: Starting every Saturday on April 25, enjoy Seattle Opera Mornings on King FM. Classical KING FM 98.1 will broadcast recordings of previous Seattle Opera performances including Tosca, La traviata, The Magic Flute, and Madame Butterfly. Broadcasts will be available on the radio and at king.org every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

Artistic Director Robert Ford and Executive Director Martin Miller today announced that a new theatrical incarnation of the iconic television series, Designing Women, penned by creator Linda Bloodworth Thomason, has been selected to open the fall season of TheatreSquared (T2). Performances will run August 12 through September 13 at the company's architecturally distinctive new home in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas. Earlier this morning, The New York Times broke the news of the planned premiere.

Opening the spring season is a new production of Un ballo in maschera, where love, power and politics collide to create a tale of deception, intrigue and revenge. The second instalment in WNO's Verdi trilogy, the production is directed by David Pountney, conducted by Gareth Jones and is a co-production with Oper der Stadt Bonn. Performing from 10 - 13 April, the company will also bring revivals of Mozart's The Magic Flute and Donizetti's Roberto Devereux.
